Island Cloud Forest

This painting is a 24 by 36 inch acrylic scene I have been working on recently. This cloud forest is located in the highlands of Isabela, the largest island in the Galapagos archipelago.

Painting an evening away

SOLD. Here is a 24 by 36 acrylic on canvas painting of a moon rise over the Galapagos Islands.

Long time No POST !

I have currently been spending the majority of my time focused on family and school these days. However my wife and I have managed to fit in a few art nights here and there.

This is sharpie and acrylic on canvas. It was fun to do and painting it brought back the good memories of sitting there sketching it out in Quito, Ecuador.

This painting has been a study inspired by the local coast.

Busy Times !

Well just a little update here......its been a while since I last posted anything. I have not had a lot of time these days as my wife and I have a new baby boy named Mateo who has been making sure that life is not boring : )

Keeping on topic here regarding art and design.....I also just purchased a CNC router. Its in pieces and is a bit of a project to get back together but keep and eye out here in future for some more furniture and such. Once I get the router going it should be amazing for creating some really awsome stuff !!!! Yeah so excited !

I have to order a few parts in and have yet to hook up the power supply and controllers to the motors to confirm that it works. Im currently striping it down a little so as to clean it up as the Y axis had some surface rust on the linear guide rails and racks. Once its fully operational I will have about a 4 foot by 8 foot by 6 inch cutting envelope. : )

Animal skulls and threading the needle

A collection of sketches using pen, markers and pencil. The Heron and Puffer fish skulls were both found while wandering the beaches of the Galapagos Islands. Surfing is an interest of mine and so am always inspired to try and capture the feeling of the fluid form.

The third arbol de Almendro

Here is the last tree I drew for Almendro & la Cosecha. Drawing on the ceiling is hard work ! Excuse the pictures as the lighting may be odd as they were taken at night. You can view in person at the Shyris location in Quito, Ecuador. Enjoy !

Sketch Dump

I have a fairly large collection of sketch books so I thought I would post up some of my drawings in no particular order. Some are from quite a long time ago and most simply illustrate objects, places and items of interest. A few of the drawings were created as a study for construction or with an idea of creating a finished product. Enjoy !
